                                The Physical Genius

  1. Beyond having physical ability, what sort of personality is needed to be really good at surgery, according to neurosurgeon Don Quest? Don Quest personality was a practical minded obsession with the possibility and the consequence of failure. He wanted to be close to perfection. 
  2. How might this type of personality apply to academic endeavors such as taking Regents exams or writing research papers? This personality applies to academic ways because you push your self to improve in areas your not that good at.
  3. What is the scientific explanation for practice making perfect? Hint: Explain chunking. The more you work on a task your not good at the more you learn about it you become great at it.
  4. Explain the importance of imagination in being a physical genius. You understand things better and find solutions to you problems better in he article it says " Jordan his genius originates principally in his imagination. If he spent less time dreaming and more time playing he would  be Karl Malone.
  5. What, according to Gladwell, ultimately separates the genius from the “merely very good.” Explain. Genius are always learning more but they don't believe in perfection. You make mistakes but you always learn from them and make it better.

  1. It's all about the quest for perfection, isn't it? Geniuses know they are not perfect. Really like the way you supported your answer with evidence from the text in question #4. Reflection? (Step 2) Don't forget to proofread. Poor punctuation makes people take you less seriously. Your grade will improve if you complete Step 2.
